This is an electric fan, not a flashlight, laser, test instrument, or R/C vehicle -- so my standard review format will not be used and the product will be unrated. This web page will consist of just three SIX photos and a smattering of text; in addition, the "" icon will appear appended to its listings on this website to denote the fact that this is an informational-only web page rather than a full, rated review.

This is the Arctic Air™ Freedom.
Instead of sitting on a desk or floor or being handheld like many other portable fans, you simply sling this one around your neck -- because of its U-shape, it fits around your neck without pesky, breakage-prone strings or cords.

This product almost immediately reminded me of the Bone Fone, a "wearable" AM/FM radio that came out in the late-1970s.

Two fans inside the unit blow air through stragically-placed vent holes; in addition, a high voltage air ioniser inside the unit helps it produce fresher smelling air -- though there is a bit of a "but" to go along with this (see below).

To use your spiffy new (or corroded old ) Arctic Air™ Freedom, charge it first (see directly below) and THEN you can give yourself a very mild electric shock (see even farther below) -- and finally you can THEN take that log off the air conditioner.

Loop the unit 'round your neck with the air vent holes facing up.

On the left side of the fan's body, you'll see a generously-sized pushbutton switch. Press & then release it to turn the fan on in "HIGH" mode.
Press & then release it again to turn the fan down to "MEDIUM" mode.
Press & then release it again to turn the fan down to "LOW" mode.
Press & then release it again to neutralise it.

Just like it reads on the backs of many shampoddy bottles, "lather, rinse, repeat".
In other words, pressing and then releasing the button again turns it on in HIGH mode.

To charge the inbuilt battery when necessary, plug the small end of the furnished charge cable into the small female receptacle for it on the fan's body (on the left side, right near the Power button) and plug the larger end into any USB port on your Mac or Pee-Cee computer; or
plug it up to a "wall wart-style" line-powered USB charger commonly used for charging cellular telephone handsets and tablet computers.

The blue LED behind the Power button will begin to pulsate.
When this light turns solid, the charge cycle is complete and you may safely unplug the unit from the charge cable and unplug the charge cable from the wall charger.

The Arctic Air™ Freedom was a gift from my sister, so potentially damaging or even destructive testing will not be performed on the unit.
I know you like to see me and try to break things, but "ain't" "gonna" happen today, folks.

One thing that I did however notice, was that if one of your fingers was touching the USB receptacle and another finger (or other body part) was touching the air outlet holes was that you received a very mild, repeating electric shock -- apparently from the high voltage ioniser circuit inside the Arctic Air™ Freedom.

You may also be able to hear a faint, "snap! snap! snap!" sound while you are being zapped.

This does not appear to be a hazard (the intensity of the shock is quite low -- less than the static electric shock that you might receive by touching a doorknob after dragging your feet on the rug on a cold winter day -- but it is an electric shock nonetheless.

However, for this very reason (high voltage is unexpectedly easily accessible), I'd highly advise against turning the product on while it is still connected to your computer!!!

The Arctic Air™ Freedom can produce very small quantities of ozone (O3; which is a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms). If you sniff the air coming out of the product, this compound *MAY* be barely detectable using your sense of reek SMELL.
This is perfectly normal for a product employing a high voltage air ioniser and is nothing whatsoever to be concerned about. The amount of ozone produced is exceptionally small, so there should be absolutely no danger from it.

Photograph showing the unit being used in the manner in which it was intended.

Brief video on YourTube showing that the Arctic Air™ Freedom can generate a high voltage accessible to the user.

For this video, I simply taped a wire over the USB charge receptacle and put the other end at the mouth of one of the air outlet vents.

If you're using the unit normally (as per instructions) you can easily be zapped if you turn your head sharply to the left; the USB connection would be near your left shoulder and the air outlet vent(s) would be by your left cheek, causing a mild shock.

This video is a bit furry (out of focus) because I did not dare being the camera in any closer; the product already destroyed a laptop computer! :-O
But you should be able to see (and possibly hear) the high voltage spark.

Another brief video on YourTube showing that the Arctic Air™ Freedom can generate a high voltage accessible to the user.
Content is fairly similar to the video above, but may be in slightly better focus.

TEST NOTES:
My sister purchased this for me on 05-11-21; since it was a gift from a loved one, the "" icon will appear next to its listings on this website to denote the fact that no abusive or even potentially destructive testing will take place.

UPDATE: 05-13-21
Unit has apparently "destroid" a computer that it was plugged into for charging; "methinks" that residual high voltage from the air ioniser circuit found its way into the USB connection.

Let's let the following photographs do the talking here...*snap!* *click!* and it's off to the Fotomat we go...

See how the HDD has petered out?
Now this could be just a horribly-timed coincidence, but I don't think so.

UPDATE: 05-14-21
Since this product can damage or even destroy the computer used to charge the internal battery, I've created and issued the new (but still dreadful), "" icon to this product.

UPDATE: 05-20-21
Got on the blower to the company re: the product destroying one of my computers and the electric shock it gives the user to find out what my recourse is.

UPDATE: 05-22-21
Successfully spoke with a CS rep. about my issues; was furnished with email address and instructions for filing a claim.

Also made two brief videos showing how high voltage is easily accessible.

PROS:
Comfortable to use
Produces enough of a breeze to be truly useful

NEUTRAL:

CONS:
Unit can
DESTROY the computer used for charging its battery!
Unit can issue a very mild electric shock if handled just so
Seems to be a bit on the noisy side, esp. on HIGH mode
