This product does not emit light of its own (much like this spectrometer and this meter), so the standard review format will not be used and the product will be assigned a rating at once.
This is a low-priced digital caliper; it measures in mm and inches, and has a measurement resolution of just 100µ (µ=microns) -- or 0.10mm if you prefer.
It can be used to measure the physical size of an object up to 150mm in size; it also comes equipped with a set of "backward-looking" jaws that allow you to measure the inside diameter of a pipe or other hollow object with a minimum ID (inside diameter) of 3mm to perhaps 4mm.
Using the Electronic Digital Caliper is extremely easy and intuitive.
Slide the jaws open by gently grasping the long "shaft" with one hand and sliding the display unit to the right with the other.
Place the jaws around the object that you're measuring and close the jaws until they no longer move. Read the measurement directly off the units LCD.
You may press the blue, "mm/inch" button located directly above the LCD to change from metric to Imperial and vice versa if desired; if you see the measurement unit you prefer already being displayed, you need do nothing.
Close the jaws when you're finished, and press the small red "OFF / ON" button near the lower left of the display to neutralise the caliper.
To change the cell ("battery") in the Electronic Digital Caliper, slide the ribbed battery hatch (located to the immediate right of the LCD) toward the right until it comes off, and set it aside.
Remove the dead LR44 button cell from the little battery compartment, and dispose of it.
Insert a new LR44 button cell into the chamber, orienting it so that its button-end (-) negative goes in first.
Slide the battery door back on.
Turn the caliper on, press the jaws fully closed, press the yellow "ZERO" button located below the LCD toward the right, and press the red button to turn the caliper off.
This caliper is meant to be used as a measurement instrument in a dry area, not as a flashlight meant to be carried around all the time, thrashed, trashed, bashed, and abused; so I won't throw it against the wall, stomp on it, viciously chuck it at one of those wall-mounted porcelain uranators to see if it becomes broken (the caliper, not the whizzer!), try to drown it in the {vulgar slang term for a fudge bunny}bowl or the cistern, run over it, swing it against the concrete floor of a patio, bash it open to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannoñata (I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a scanner-type device on a platform with a large readout, with a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or with a pack-of-cards-sized device that Fergy Fudgehog uses; and the cannoñata is only used to shoot piñatas to piñata parties away from picturesque Piñata Island), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analyses, launch it into the upper atmosphere of Gamalon V* so that chairman Sonji gets all pissy about it, or inflict upon it punishments that I might inflict upon a flashlight.
So this section of the caliper's web page will be *SIGNIFICANTLY* more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.
