SPECTRA OF LEDS SENT BY DON KLIPSTEIN IN LATE-2020 (Pg. 4)
This web page will be for nothing but spectra of LEDs sent by Don Klipstein in late-2020.
Ocean Optics USB2000 Spectrometer donated by P.L.
As of 10-10-07, I've been using a PC2000-ISA Spectrometer from Ocean Optics that I received several years ago, but that I didn't have a home for until now.
As of 03-08-08, I once again have the USB2000 Spectrometer, enabling color spectra again.
As of 09-19-09, I no longer have the PC2000-ISA; it was sold to prevent an eviction.

Cree C503B-BCN-CXOY0451 Blue LED in a Water-Clear 5mm Body.
Measures 14,710mcd on an Amprobe LM631A light meter.
This is a medium (fairly typical actually) viewing angle LED with a published viewing angle of ~30°.
Spectrographic analysis of a Cree C503B-BCN-CXOY0451 Blue LED in a Water-Clear 5mm Body.
Spectrographic analysis of a Cree C503B-BCN-CXOY0451 Blue LED in a Water-Clear 5mm Body; spectrometer's response narrowed to a band between 460nm and 480nm to pinpoint emission peak wavelength, which is 470.880nm.
The raw spectrometer data (tab-delimited that can be loaded into Excel) is at bcn.txt
Cree C535A-WJN-CU0W0231WJN White LED in a Water-Clear "Straw Hat" Body.
Measures 4,950mcd on an Amprobe LM631A light meter.
This is a wide viewing angle LED with a published viewing angle of 95° to 110°; and as you may know, wider viewing angles always equal lower mcd values.
