This product does not emit light of its own, so the standard review format will not be used and the product will not be assigned a rating. This website is mostly about light-emitting products, but occasionally, you'll see non-light emitting products on it too if it's something I use regularly and/or really like (this scale meets both of those criteria!).

What we have here is a handy-dandy kitchen-type digital scale. It can measure weights up to 5,000 grams (5 kilograms) with a resolution of 1 gram.

Although it was intended to weigh food items, I've found it ultra-handy to weigh flashlights & portable lasers with on this website and drones on my other website. I purchased it to replace the Digital Pocket Scale that was stolen from me in early-2019.

We've all seen that dreadful phrase, "Unknown/not equipped to weigh" on hundreds of web pages on this website; well, this will no longer be the case as I am now equipped to weigh such articles!!!

Product doesn't look brand spanken new in these photographs because it isn't.

Using your Digital Kitchen Scale is actually quite easy.

1: Place the scale on a hard, flat surface such as a desktop, a countertop, a table, etc.
2: Turn the scale on using the pushbutton at the lower right; hold the button down for two or three seconds until the display indicates, "0".
3: Place the item to be weighed on the black steel weighing pan. After only a brief delay, the item's weight (in grams, ounces, kilograms, or pounds) can now be read from the display.

The pushbutton marked, "Unit" is used to select from the weight units shown directly above; so if (for example) you hate the Metric system, you can obtain weights measured in ounces.

This scale also has a tare function; meaning that you can weigh something in its packaging or in the included plastic bowl and then have the scale automatically remove the weight of the packaging materials. Tare weight is the weight of an empty container. By subtracting it from the gross weight (laden weight), the weight of the goods in its packaging materials may be determined.

To use the tare function, place a small bowl (such as the one furnished with the scale) or box on the scale's weighing platform, wait for the reading to stabilise (probably just a second or two tops), press the "O/T" button, wait a second or so until the display indicates, "0.00", and then place the items you want weighed in the bowl or box.
This allows you to weigh articles that would not otherwise fit on the weighing platform such as flour, ground coffee, loose-leaf tea, or items that would otherwise simply roll off (such as pearls, BBs, bear ballings BALL BEARINGS, sports balls, etc.).

The bowl has a pouring spout so that liquids can be weighed and subsequently easily poured away.

To neutralise it after use, press & hold the pushbutton at the lower right; hold the button down for two or three seconds until the display turns off.

To change the AAA cells in your spiffy new (or corroded old ) Digital Kitchen Scale, turn it upside down, unclip & remove the battery door, place it on the floor, and use your foot to gently push it under the couch so that the carpet beetles, silverfish, and piss ants will think that it's something yummy for their insect tummies, attempt to eat it, find it like totally unpalatable dude, and simply squat over it and uranate on it...O WAIT!!! YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead!!!
(I actually had a pet rat a number of years ago that squatted over & pissed on some nuts or something that I had brought home for her from the foodbank, hahaha! )

Remove the two dead batteries from the compartment and dispose of or recycle them as you see fit.

Install a pair of new AAA cells into the compartment, orienting them so that their flat-ends (-) negatives face the springs for them in each chamber.

Place the battery door back on, and gently press downward on the clip-end until you hear & feel it snap into place, and there, you're done.
Aren't you glad that you didn't push that battery door under the couch with all of those hungry, hungry insects that had to go poddy now?

You might also want to grab a can of Raid® or Black Flag™ and discharge a good quantity of it under that couch, as it's plain to see I forgot my hat...O NOOOO!!! There I go thinking about the thrash metal band AnthraX again!!! The part about the hat is from the song, "I'm the Man '91" from the album, "Attack of the Killer B's"...what I meant to say was that it's clear that you have a bug problem going on in your living room!

This is a digital scale, not a flashlight meant to be thrashed, trashed, and abused. So I won't try to drown it in the toliet tank, bash it against a steel rod or against the concrete floor of a carport in effort to try and expose the bare Metalmarineangemon - er - the bare Metaltrailmon - um that's not it either...the bare Metalsusanoomon...er...uh...wait a sec here...THE BARE METAL (guess I've been watching too much Digimon again! - now I'm just making {vulgar term for feces} up!!!), let my mother's big dog's ghost, her kitties, my kitty or my sister's kitty cat piddle (uranate) on it, hose it down with my mother's gun, run over it with a 450lb Quickie Pulse 6 motorised wheelchair, stomp on it, use a medium ball peen hammer in order to bash it open to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannoñata, drop it down the top of Mt. Erupto (now I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a laser-type device on a platform with a large readout (located at Piñata Central {aka. "Party Central"}), with a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or with a pack-of-cards-sized device that Fergy Fudgehog uses; the cannoñata (also located at Piñata Central) is only used to shoot piñatas to piñata parties away from picturesque Piñata Island, and Mt. Erupto is an active volcano on Piñata Island), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analysis, or perform other indecencies on it that a flashlight might have to have performed on it. Therefore, this section of the scale's web page will seem a bit more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.
