The HJ008-2 2 LEDs Light Set is a set of bicycle lights that attach to the handlebars and to the seatpost of your bike, it has two LEDs behind individual positive (magnifying) lenses.

It is labelled as a "2 LEDs Light Set" because you get one phosphor white light and one red light -- each unit has two LEDs in it.

It is powered by two CR2032 lithium coin cells (that come with the product itself) and has three operational modes plus "off".

The lights in the HJ008-2 2 LEDs Light Set come in rubbery plastic bodies, and are weather-resistant but NOT submersible to ANY depth.

Press the top of the product (essentially at dead center) and then release it to turn the HJ008-2 light on in steady-on mode.

Do this again to change to fast blink mode with a flash rate of approximately 8Hz (eight flashes per second).

Do this again to change to slow flash mode with a flash rate of approx 3Hz (three flashes per second).

Do this again to neutralise the HJ008-2 light.

Just like it reads on the backs of many shampoo bottles, "lather, rinse, repeat". In other words, actuatimg the unit again turns the unit on in steady-on mode.

It has a rubbery "strap" that allows you to affix it to your bicycle handlebars or seatpost; since I do not own or otherwise have custody of a bicycle, I am not equipped to show you with photographs.

Actually, my landlady's hubby has bikes.
Let's pop off a couple of pics...*Click* *Click*...and it's off to the Fotomat we go!!!

To change the batteries in the HJ008-2 light, turn the unit upside-down, hold onto the back portion of the rubbery material and flex it so that the bottom begins to protrude around the large hole in this rubbery shroud.

Flex it a bit more so that the white battery hatch cover is pretty much completely exposed.

Lift up on this hatch cover until it comes free, and set it aside.

Tip the two tired old CR2032 coin cells out, and dispose of them as you see fit.

Insert two new CR2032 lithium coin cells into the compartment, orienting them so that their button-sides (-) negatives face down.

Place the white plastic hatch cover back in place, orienting it so that the part with the little lip on it faces the front of the light (where the transparent lens is), pull the rubbery shroud back in place, and be done with it.

THIS PROCESS SEEMS A BIT FIDDLY TO ACTUALLY DO; THIS IS GOING TO DETRACT FROM ITS RATING!

This is a bicycle light in a rubbery body, not a flashlight in a metal body that's meant to be bashed, thrashed, trashed, and abused, so I won't bash it against a steel rod or against the concrete floor of a porch, run over it with a 450lb Celebrity motorised wheelchair, stomp on it, use a large claw hammer in order to smash it open to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannoñata (I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a laser-type device on a platform with a large readout, with a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or with a pack-of-cards-sized device that Fergy Fudgehog uses; and the cannoñata is only used to shoot piñatas to piñata parties away from picturesque Piñata Island), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analysis, or perform other indecencies on it that a flashlight in a metal or sturdier plastic body might have to have performed on it. So this section of the web page will be a bit more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight that was born to be a flashlight and nothing but a flashlight.

Th positive (magnifying) lenses in front of each LED are moulded into the plastic window which serves to protect the LEDs and give a measure of water-resistance to the product as a whole.

There is no environmental protection (such as O-rings or gaskets) visible, so water-resistance is going to be a bit on the minimal side at best. A few raindrops or snowflakes won't do it in, but please keep it out of puddles, water-filled ditches, snowbanks, wall-mounted porcelain or stainless steel urenals, pet water bowls, toliets, bathtubs, fishtanks, sinks, or other places where water or other liquids might be found.

I suctioned around the lens and it actually held a reasonable weak vaccum. The bottom (where the batteries are loaded) cannot be tested in this fashion though. so no Toliet Test for this guy at least until spectroscopy can be performed.
