Maiden flights* of my Hoverair X1 Flying Camera 12-06-23 (1)

Flights* took place (launched anyway) inside my home at 4120 N Valentine Ave. in Fresno CA. USA at 1:11pm PST on 12-06-23 (or, "06 Dec. 2023" if you prefer).

Ambient temperature was 73°F (22.8°C).

The music that you hear is zax from the Commodore 64 computer video game, "Outrun"; music by Jeroen Tel. and an unknown song by a mystery artist -- it isn't even known how it got there. :-/

This product is not audio (sound)-sensitive in any manner; the music may safely be ignored or even muted if it causes you to become piddled off or makes your ears bleed (it isn't even *CLOSE* to being metal, so if you find mysterious bloody Q-Tips floating in the loo, you just might want to see a doctor!) ;-)

These are indoor flights because my sister is too busy today to wheel me outside; she told me that tomorrow (12-07-23) would very likely be possible.
The flights were in "Hover" mode only because this the only mode that I felt confident using indoors in this very confined space.

While I was flying the drone, I "heard" a jingle for Bob's Discount Furniture but with altered lyrics.

fs* FlightS {note plural} because the nature of this product requires a number of brief flights rather than a single extended flight.

I am not able to test "Follow me" or "Dolly track" modes because they require the user to be at least somewhat mobile; the stroke I had in late-winter 2022 robbed me of that ability.

Weather conditions at flight time were mostly sunny, temperature was 63°F (17.2°C) and winds observed as being variable and a bit gusty to an estimated 4.0 mph (6.44kph) at the surface.
I no longer own or have access to anemometer, so I have to guess.

While I had the X1 flying in "Zoom Out" mode, it refused to recognise my hand for landing so I attempted (and failed) to grab it in midair; it expressed its displeasure by quickly dropping altitude to several inches and then flew across the tennis court (approx. 80 feet) until it reached the edge and stopped in weeds. Thankfully, it was easily retrieved by my sister.

They accidentally appeared on a beam terminus photograph of a laser not long ago; some viewers pissed & moaned about them so I figured that it would be best to give you a heads-up.

I irradiated a wall with several portable lasers: 406nm (violet), 488nm (cyan), 561nm (chartreuse), and 593.5nm (amber/orange) so that I could see how the X1's camera would image them.

This flight was made in Manual mode; this is my first flight in this mode.
Flight launched in my room; my sister and B.I.L. also utlise this room for storage -- very little of what you see in here actually belongs to me.

I dispatched a message re: this behavior earlier today to Hover technical support posthaste and followed their suggestions re: a fix but I was unsuccessful. So their techs will dig more deeply into this issue with the assistance of the drone's flight log and the drone's serial number which I furnished them with no hesitation. I'm currently patiently awaiting their return email.

I had no shirt and a bib on because my sister and B.I.L. went to a concert and left me dinner; they left while I was still in bed and I cannot put on a shirt by myself.
