IMPORTANT: Due to the nature of this product (it does not emit light of its own brightly enough to be useful *AS* a light), my usual evaluation format will not be used. This will just be a brief informational page with three photographs & a graph on it.

When you first receive it and rip open the box and whip the lid off the tin, you might think "O boy!!! Putty!!!

", but your perceptions of it will go right down the toilet; for this isn't just any ordinary putty.
Thinking Putty is a colorful putty-like compound that you can sculpt & mould into whatever shape strikes your fancy; this version glows in the dark with several different colors when exposed to room light or when irradiated with long wave UV (ultraviolet type A).

It is labelled as being nontoxic, but should be kept away from children under 3 because they might attempt to eat & swallow it.

This product is supposed to glow in the dark (aided by UVA radiation); the
GITD properties appear to have mostly dissipated after all these years.

Here's a tin of the putty after being exposed to the near-UV radiation of six NUV LEDs in this product at nearly point-blank range.
This is the putty labelled "Krypton".

TEST NOTES:
Tins of this putty were sent by Aaron of www.puttyworld.com and were received sometime in mid-July 2003. Box was lost shortly after receipt; it just turned up today (02-04-07) while I was looking for something else I wished to perform spectroscopy of.

Package included one tin each of: Krypton, Ion, Amber, and Aura Thinking Putty, plus two keychain NUV flashlights and a number of button cells for the flashlights.

Product was made in the USA. A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
