This is a nice looking metal flashlight, as such things go. The LDP flashlight has five (5) LEDs in its head, comes in an aluminum body, and feeds from two AA cells held in its barrel.
Because it uses two AA cells, there is almost certainly a step-up inverter in there to boost the ~3.0 volts from the batteries to the ~3.6 to ~3.8 volts the white LEDs need.
SIZE
To use this flashlight, feed it first (see below), and then you can go to town.
Press the black tailcap button firmly until it clicks and then release it to turn the flashlight on. Repeat the same action to turn it off.
Momentary or signalling mode is available when the flashlight is off; to use this mode, partially depress the tailcap button and hold it in for as long as you need light. Release the button to turn the flashlight off.
To change the batteries, unscrew the tailcap, throw it in the {vulgar term for feces}bowl, and flush it away...O WAIT, YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead. 
Tip the two dead AA cells out of the barrel, and dispose of or recycle them as you see fit.
Do not throw them into a trout-filled stream, and for heaven sakes, please do not attempt to dispose of them by flushing.
Insert two new AA cells in the barrel, flat-end (-) negative going in first.
This is opposite of how the batteries are installed in most flashlights, so please pay attention to polarity here.
Screw the tailcap back on, finger-firm tightness only.
Aren't you glad you didn't flush away that tailcap now?
Current usage measures 166.2mA on my DMM's 400mA scale.
I smacked this flashlight against the concrete floor of a patio ten times (five against the side of the bezel, and five on the side of the tailcap) and was not able to damage the flashlight in any manner, other than causing some rather minor gouging to the bare Metalkoromon - er - the bare Metalangemon....nope that's not it either - the bare Metalbeezelmon - um - that's not it either...the bare Metalcalmarimon...er...uh...wait a sec here...THE BARE METAL (guess I've been watching too much Digimon again! Now I'm just making {vulgar term for feces} up!!! ) on the sides of the tailcap and bezel where it was struck.
No optical or electrical malfunctions were detected. No optical, mechanical, or electrical malfunctions were detected.
It appears to have a Type II anodizing on all of its exterior surfaces. I tried to cut through the finish with the blade of a folding knife, and I was rather easily successful.
Would I really cut up a brand spanken new flashlight?
You bet your sweet patootie (sugar-coated toilet muscle) I would, if it's in the name of science.
This unit passed "The Suction Test" I performed on it, so it should indeed be water-resistant; possibly even submersible to shallow depths too. Let's throw it in the toilet and see what happens...
Here's proof that I really performed "The Toilet Test" on it.
After letting it sit in the water for one minute, I dried the outside off with some bungwipe, and did not find any water inside.

TEST NOTES:
Test unit was sent by a website fan and was received on 07-13-05. It was promptly misplaced, and just turned up today (12-13-07) while I was looking for another product to perform spectroscopy of.
As far as I am able to determine, product was made in the USA. A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
