The Eternity Flashlight™ is a medium-sized flashlight that has three LEDs behind positive (magnifying) lenses, and has a crank on the bottom for charging it. You never have to purchase disposable batteries for it, and never have to worry about bulbs burning out.

 SIZE

To use the Eternity Flashlight™, charge it first (see directly below). Press the rubberised button on top of the flashlight until it clicks, and then release it to turn the flashlight on. Press and release the button the same way again to turn the flashlight off. This is continuous or hands-free mode.

Press the button more lightly (before it clicks) and hold it that way for momentary or signalling mode. Release the button to turn the flashlight back off.

To charge the Eternity Flashlight™, first be sure it's turned off. Unfold the charging handle from the bottom of the flashlight body, and turn it at 2 revolutions per second for at least one minute.

Then fold the charging handle back down in the bottom of the flashlight body.

Photohraph of the business-end, showing the magnifying lenses moulded into the output window.

The Eternity Flashlight™ flashlight seems reasonably durable at very minimum, but because of its all-plastic construction and that dynamo, I won't do the smack test on it. It would almost certainly become broken if I did.

Water-resistance seems minimal at best, although it should be at least slightly sprinkle-resistant. So please try not to drop it in creeks, rivers, ponds, lakes, oceansides, docksides, puddles of snapping turtle pee, slush piles, mud puddles, tubs, toilet bowls, cisterns, sinks, fishtanks, dog water dishes, or other places where water or water-like liquids might be found. A little rain or snow probably wouldn't hurt it though, so you need not be too concerned about using it in lightly bad weather.

You don't have to worry about me doing "the toilet test" on the Eternity Flashlight™, not only because the commode is shared by two others, but because the Eternity Flashlight™ would probably drown in the bowl.

The beam of light produced by the Eternity Flashlight™ is a circular, sharply defined wide spot. There is very little corona (spill light), so if you really require that, this may not be the right flashlight for you.

Beam photo at ~12".
Measures 55,500mcd on a Meterman LM631 light meter.
This reading is high because of those positive (magnifying) lenses in front of the LEDs.
