VALENTINE FLASHING DICE

Valentine Flashing Dice, retail $1.79 (www.wallgreens.com)

This is a very seasonal product (for Valentine's day). It is a soft, rubbery die (the singular form of dice) with two red LEDs inside that flash for 15 seconds when the die is tossed or rolled - such as on a table or desk.

Each side of the die has a Valentine's sentiment printed on it, such as "I'm Yours" and "Hug Me".

 SIZE

The die is ready to use as soon as you remove it from the netting it comes packaged in.

Just roll the die on a table or desk; from several inches above if necessary, and two red LEDs inside will start flashing rapidly; the unit turns itself off 15 seconds later.

This appears to be a disposable product; there's no obvious way to access or change the batteries in it.

There is a circular region on the die that comes off, but the flashing module itself is not accessible.

This was intended to be a disposable product, so even if you do manage to break it, just throw it in the garbage can and go get another one. At 37¢ apiece (the amount I paid for it after Valentine's day), it certainly won't break the bank.

Because this is a disposable product and not a flashlight meant to be thrashed and abused, I won't try to drown it in the toilet, smash it against a concrete sidewalk, throw it against a wall, stomp on it, sit down hard on it, or otherwise abuse it. So this portion of the web page will be more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.

There is no external switch; if you somehow manage to unintentionally turn it on, just wait 15 seconds and it will shut itself off without any intervention on your part.

Two photographs of the die lighted up as it would be after you roll it.

Here is a brief video on YourTube of a die in action.

I cannot provide it in other formats, sorry about that.
