VOTIVE LED

Votive LED, retail (NFS)

This is a deceptively simple "electronic candle" that you place in a glass votive candle jar; preferably diffused.

It consists of a white SMD LED and a paper clip, designed to be clipped directly to a CR2016, CR2032, or CR2450 lithium coin cell, and then placed in a glass votive candle jar. Since there is no fire or heat, you can also place this in a plastic jar or even a paper cup the approximate size of a votive jar.

 SIZE

To use the Votive LED, just clip it directly to a lithium coin cell, so the LED is on the button-side of the cell. Place the lighted Votive LED in a glass votive holder. You can use a plastic jar or even a paper cup if you wish - the product produces no heat, so there's no fire hazard.

To turn the Votive LED off, just remove the battery and it goes off.

I pretty much described the battery changing procedure in the "How To Use It" section directly above. So I won't make an ass out of myself and repeat it here.

The clip can be bent to fit thinner batteries, so if you do not have access to CR2450 coin cells (big honking things, as coin cells go), you can use this method to allow the Votive LED to fit CR2032 or even CR2016 coin cells.

Current usage on a new cell should be approximately 5mA.

This is a custom-made, one-of-kind light, so if I beat on it or try to drown it in the toilet and succeed at either, I might not (well, probably will not) be able to obtain a replacement. So I won't perform the more abusive tests for this website sakes. Therefore, this section of the web page will appear significantly more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a commercial flashlight or electronic candle.

It produces a pure white light of just about the right intensity for a small votive candle holder.

I do not have a votive jar, so I cannot show this device used in one.
