This is a retrofit lamp (light bulb or light globe) that fits any standard medium screw base (E27) lamp receptacle. It is advertised to use just 2.5 watts of power while producing the light of a 25 watt incandescent light bulb (lamp or light globe).

As I just said, it screws into any standard medium screw base that household light blubs in the US screw into. It runs from standard US household voltage, which is 110 to 130 volts AC at 60Hz.

 SIZE

This bulb is incredibly easy to use. Just unscrew the bulb in the fixture you intend to use this bulb in, throw it on the ground so it pops (well, don't throw it on the ground because that would just be messy), and screw this LED retrofit bulb in the socket. See, easy as that.

Because this product is specifically designed to be used on 110-130VAC, this section is not needed.

Photograph of the "business-end" of this bulb, showing the 34 white LEDs and the reflector.

Because this is a household lamp, and not a flashlight, I won't slam it against a concrete stair, throw it in the toilet, run over it with a 400lb electric wheelchair, stomp on it, let the cat pee on it, or perform other indecencies on it that might be bestowed upon a flashlight.

So this section of the web page will appear more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.

The light produced by this bulb is the typical bluish-white you'd expect from any device using 5mm white LEDs. It is somewhat directional; not omnidirectional like you'd see with ordinary light bulbs. So this bulb would be good for small area lighting, but not so good if you need to illuminate an entire room.

Good tasks for this bulb would be as a desk lamp, nightlight (though a bit bright for that purpose), reading lamp, or other application where you need a somewhat directional light source; but not one that's hot or blindingly bright.

I do not have a portable lamp to test this bulb in, so
this is a photograph of it in my ceiling light fixture.
