This is a high-flux ("spider") yellow LED in a water-clear epoxy case.

The light it outputs is a typical slightly orangish-yellow for a yellow LED. It has a dominant wavelength (where you would point to on a color chart) of approximately 588nm.

The beam that comes out of this LED is smooth and very, very wide, with a beam width of approximately 150°.


Unable to measure intensity or provide a beam photograph due to the VERY wide beam.
LED was tested in an American Opto Plus LED tester.

This is a 5mm round near-infrared (NIR) LED in a water-clear epoxy case.


Here is a macro photograph of the business-end of the LED itself, while energized at a drive current of 20.52mA with a Vf of 1.182 volts.

Due to the fact that this LED is infrared, I am not able to obtain intensity measurements from it.
My best guess is that this LED radiates a peak wavelength of 940nm.

This is a 5mm round RGB LED in a water-clear epoxy case.

The light it outputs varies in wavelength depending on how you drive the three dice inside. The blue die emits a dominant wavelength (where you would point to on a color chart) of approximately 471nm, the green die 525nm, and the red die 638nm.

The beam that comes out of this LED is a wide, smooth flood, and has no rings, spots, or other little evil things (artifacts) in it.

The total beam width is approximately 120°.


Here is a photograph of the LED itself.


In this photograph, each die was receiving ~8.9mA.
That's why it appears bluish-green.

Due to the way this LED was constructed, I was not able to obtain intensity or Vf measurements from it.

The first 5mm Hebei I.T. Shanghai Co. Ltd. LED was powered with a Hosfelt Electronics LED tester, outputting a known current of 25.5mA from the receptacles the LED was tested in.

All subsequent 3mm, 5mm, 8mm, and 10mm LEDs on this and future web pages will be tested in a GLOW-ON, LLC. LED tester that outputs a known current of 20.52mA on its 20mA setting.

High-flux ("spider") LEDs were powered with an Energy One XP-4 variable voltage, variable current power supply, with the current set to the individual LED under test.
