DREAM DIARY
If I remember the dream, it will live on here for everyone to remember.
This site started in June '01; after each month a new page will go up & previous ones will be linked here.

In this dream, I remember playing a type of pinball machine. Given the complexity of the playfield, it was probably a Williams Electronics machine.
What set this machine apart though, was its multiball action. There weren't just two or three pinballs -- at one point there 15 to 20 pinballs in play simultaneously (at the same time)!!!

I was able to fly, at first with a hang glider-type wing & flapping my arms -- later, the contraption was powered; possibly with an electric motor.
At first, I was flying outdoors; gaining altitude by flapping my arms. I was able to fly quite high (perhaps 1,000 feet) and fairly fast too (approx. 40MPH). I remember flying over ponds and what appeared to be smallish square plots of farmland.

I was soon able to fly through walls of structures, so that I could see the contents of rooms I was flying through.

The dream shifted (and rather seamlessly too). I was at home, and y sister asked if she could use my computer. I said "Hold on; it'll be ready in just a minute". I then took off and flew upstairs to my room so that I could ready the computer. My alarm clock then rousted me out of bed -- signalling that it was time to feed the kitty cats.

As far as I remember, whenever I flew through a wall, it was accompanied by a visual effect not that dissimilar to the interdimensional transporter on the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The High Ground; except that a bright whitish-blue glow surrounded me at that moment instead of a pure white, lengthy "flash".

Interesting scientific note here: while I was able to fly through walls and possibly ceilings, I had no trouble whatsoever not falling through floors.

I was living at the Juneau Receiving Home in Juneau AK. USA in this dream. Only, the interior did not look anything like the place I remember (I lived here in my teens from 1978 through much of 1983 in real life). Water began to spew from floor-mounted heat registers; I thought we were having a flood. My first concern was the motorised electric scooter I kept in the garage; so I went down some stairs, went down an outdoor driveway of sorts fifty feet or so in length, and opened the door to a shed-like structure. I was faced with another set of stairs to go down, so I went down those stairs approx. 80% of the way, and everything looked "high and dry" as it were. There were two sets of short black "skid" marks on the concrete garage floor; though they were extremely wide -- approximately the width of six passenger car tires. And they were staggereed, as though they came from the left-front and right-rear tires of a vehicle that was no longer there.

On my way back, the "driveway" was flooded with approx, 2 feet of somewhat muddy water. Behinds me, I heard some splashing; a woman was swimming in the same direction I was walking. What got me though, was that it was fairly cold (~35°F) and she had nothing on but a bikini.

Shortly after this, my alarm clock went off and rousted me out of bed.

This dream started with me on a bus in my old hometown of Juneau AK. USA. The bus driver asked me where I wanted to disembark, and I said "As close to Nowell Avenue as you get." I then got off the bus shortly thereafter, and started on my (what would become a long and ultimately fruitless) trek to find Nowell Avenue. I went through a number of different neighborhoods, and saw places that I recognised in the dream as Cedar Park, the Admiralty Apts., and some others -- but I was not able to find Nowell Ave.

When going downhill, much of the time I was able to just stand and slide down the rain-slicked streets (at times, fairly rapidly too) on my shoes -- eg. they acted like skis or similar; but worked without snow. When I encountered gravel or small rounded stones, I slowed down but did not stop.

Along the way, I had asked several people if they knew where Nowell Ave. was; most answered no or shook their heads no, but toward the end of the dream, I was in some kind of public market, asked one gentleman this question, and he took his finger, pointed it somewhat up a hill, and said "Over there."

I woke up shortly thereafter, not yet having found Nowell Ave.

I don't remember a whole lot about this dream, but it involved me repeatedly going from outside and into a restaraunt in my electric scooter (a wheelchair-like device for the disabled); the ramp leading into the restaraunt was long and quite steep in most places, yet the scooter had no trouble whatsoever climbing the grade. I believe I kept going in because of something I had forgotten...one of the forgotten items was a cappucino-like beverage in a large paper cup.

I was still going back & forth when I woke up.

In this dream, I had moved back to my old address of 509 3rd Ave. #531 in downtown Seattle WA. USA.
Only the apartment was much larger in this dream than it was in the waking world; it also had another window in it that did not exist in the real thing.

I remember being in my scooter (a motorised wheelchair-like device for the disabled) and checking my mail. At first, there were a couple of small packages: one containing several packages of Marlboros (cigerettes) and one containing a package of a fruit-flavoured candy. Somebody then told me that trhe mailboxes were somehow "different", but did not elaborate on that. Not long after that, I looked in my mailbox again, and found a larger package containing several lighting products and a couple of unknown things. Somebody said "hello, it's good to have you back" or something extremely similar; I did not recognise this person but he was tall and had tightly-curled red hair.

I got on the elevator, and pressed the "5" button. Two other people (one of them in a manual wheelchair) were already in the very large elevator car; the "2" button was already illuminated.

When I was almost at my apartment, somebody (a maintenance person I believe) was nocking on doors and asking to enter when the tenant answered.

Finally, I got in. Instead of the tiny studio apt. that this address was in reality, the place was rather large and spacious. Muh of my stuff had already been moved in and set up. I remember thinking that I forgot to change the address on the several thousand web pages that comprise one of my websites, but that I had a Search and Destro...er...uhhh...Search and REPLACE program that would make quick work of that.

I went to the door again for some unknown reason; there were two notes taped to it: one smaller "sticky-note"-sized one and a much larger one -- the larger one read something like "Welcome back!" and some other text written on it in a smaller font that I have since forgotten.

Back inside, I started to go through the package that I had gotten in the mail. I remember seeing a large globe-shaped device with a number of white LEDs in it; the background was greenish. The two smaller unidentified packages contained strips of AAA and AA cells, respectively.

The dream changed somewhat; now there were several other people there, and sound from what I believe was a television program was clearly audible. I noticed a bunch of rack-type electronics stacked rather high on a nearby table, and momentarily wondered what that was there for -- and then remembered that I had a roommate to help cut expenses. I was also eating sliders (in the dream, sliders were small, squarish hamburgers) from a plate. I went to get up and get more, but somebody said that there were more very close to where I was sitting. At this point, I realised that I was naked, but for some reason it did not bug me one bit.

Shortly thereafter, I woke up.

This dream was extremely vivid and realistic; it took me a moment after waking to realise I was still at my present house, rather than at my old apt.
