I had dreamt that I was in Juneau AK. USA on some kind of fairly lengthy trip. More specifically, I was in West Juneau - across Gastineau Channel from the city proper. It was very cloudy and even somewhat foggy at first; then the fog rather quickly dissipated.

I was looking across Gastineau Channel, and although it was early-November in the dream, I saw several cruise ships there, both docked at the ferry terminal and at the steamship dock and anchored in the channel itself. I remember taking photographs of them with a digital camera and using the zoom lens. My sister remarked that I would need a lot of memory cards for the camera; I then said that this one was 64 gigabytes.

Somewhere along the line, I saw a ship in an advanced state of sinking (the stern was the only thing above the water); yet a moment later I saw it again underway and listing strongly to port (moving under its own power and leaning very sharply toward its left side for those of you who aren't familiar with nautical terms). The deck was colored primarily dark green with "school bus yellow" trim.

There was another part of this dream, but I had forgotten it before I darted toward my Dream Diary and opened it for write.

In this dream, I was driving down the side of the street in my scooter (a motorised wheelchair-like device for the disabled); yet again, the scooter had petals and I remember cranking them very fast in order to maintain a reasonable speed (~6MPH). I remember playing the song "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor out of the scooter's stereo system* quite loudly while driving it.

At one point, I made a wrong turn, and could not figure out how to get back on the road I was originally on. I went down a steep embankment but did not crash; I believe I finally made it back on my target road just before the alarm clock got me up.

* Yes, back in the mid-1990s, I had installed a stereo system in one of my scooters, as the following photograph shows:

This dream took place during my "afternoon delight" (as my now-deceased best friend used to call a "nap". In it, I was looking for my sister at home. When I looked in her room, my old friend David Beckwith was sitting on her bed; possibly yakking on a telephone. So I went downstairs, and found her in a place that looked exactly like the office of the Juneau Receiving Home - the location I lived from ~1978 to ~1983. She was also lying down and on a telephone - I spoke her name and she said "shut up" or something similar. As I was walking back to the living room (also with the same appearance and in the same location as the one in the Receiving Home), I started hearing music. My father was playing his keyboards in the other room at the time - a high-end Radio Shack synth and a Moog synthesizer - I could remember percussion and "synthetic electronic sounds" (as the band Kraftwerk might call it) - then I awakened.
