DREAM DIARY
If I remember the dream, it will live on here for everyone to remember.

JAN 02, 2011
In this rather short dream, I was with my father, stepmother, and stepaunt in close quarters -- possibly in a restaraunt booth. We were discussing (I believe) that night's dinner menu. I then said that I was going to go out to eat with my friend John Robbins and that a considerable amount of money could be saved as a result. My stepaunt then said "We'll be going to the Madison Pub and meet the owner {first & last name were mentioned but forgotten}". I told her that I'd never heard of the man. I woke up shortly thereafter.

Throughout much of this dream, music from the PC computer demo "Verses" was heard playing.

In this dream, I was walking down the central corridor of the Merchant's Wharf in Juneau AK. USA, I was looking for a particular store, but I do not remember what it was. I also remember dreaming about it (yes, in the dream itself). I came upon door after door after door (in the corridor itself, not to the sides of it); these doors simply opened to more central corridor. As in previous dreams (and as with the real thing!), the flooring material was composed of thin wood slats of some sort; not concrete, tile, linoleum, or large squares of wood.

In part of this dream, I was on a city bus, sitting near the front on one of the side-facing bench seats.
I saw our kitty cats Patches walking on the aisle in front of me, and my friend John Robbins (sitting a few spaces closer to the front of the bus) called her -- Patches was his kitty in this dream.
The bus had stopped near an intersection, and was apparently going to be there awhile as there was an incident of some sort (an accident perhaps?) on the road in front of us. My destination in this dream was Douglas AK. USA, which is located directly across Gastineau Channel from Juneau AK. USA.

In this dream, I was just moving into my old place -- Apt. #531 at the Morrison Apts. in Seattle WA. USA. (I had lived there in the waking world from 1988 to Sept. 30, 1996). I was at the mailboxes, I had several keys on a keyring, and was examining a few of them to see which one was the mailbox key. I tried one that looked like the "right" key in a couple of boxes, but it did not work. The manager then came up, and I explained to him that I had just moved into #531, and was looking for the correct mailbox. All of the numbers printed on the mailbox doors were pretty much worn off, but he put the key into the lock on the largest box there and it opened. I then told him what a great idea it was that I had the large box, as I often had deliveries of flashlights and such for my website.

Next thing I remember is being in what I believe was the building's lobby; though it was much, much larger than the real-life one. I was in my scooter (a wheelchair-like device for the disabled), and was able to both climb and descend stairs in it.

This is the scooter that I drove in this dream.

I spent much of the remainder of this dream zipping around, making tight turns, and such. I remember slowing way down so that some people seated in cussioned recliner chairs in a fairly dark area could see the rainbow taillight modification I'd done on this scooter (which I did in real life -- as the following photograph shows):

I also remember being able to travel much, MUCH, MUCH faster than I would have in the waking world -- during parts of my ride, the speed exceeded 40MPH (64.37KPH)!!!

Toward the end of the dream, the foot plate broke off at the bottom of some stairs I was going down, but there was a much smaller plate underneath that was still large enough for my feet, so I used that as a footrest until my alarm clock rousted me awake.

In this dream, I was driving my scooter to a destination I have since forgotten. There was approximately 2" of heavy, wet snow on the ground during most of my trip; it was packed down by tires for much of the duration. I also remember being able to travel much faster than I could in the waking world -- I'd estimate 25 to 30mph; especially down hills. I had to (once again) pedal the scooter for brief parts of my trip; often when accellerating down lengthy hills. Control was generally very good despite the slippery conditions.

I'm not certain just where it was I was going, but I started seeing places that did not look at all familiar, and begun to think that perhaps I was a bit lost. A structure that I drove up to somewhat later was labelled "Seattle Pacific University", and I drove all around it -- perhap the campus perimeter, plus areas right next to the structure as well. I stopped somebody and asked them if they knew where Military Road was, and they pointed in one direction; yet I took off in another direction for an as-of-yet unknown reason. I believe I was attempting to locate South 320th St. (which Military Road does indeed intersect in the waking world).

At one point during the trip (this could have occurred before or after the "colledge campus" segment of this dream), I had noticed a black leather driving glove on the floorboard of my scooter right at the front edge. It fell off at that time, so while I was driving the scooter down a moderate hill, I slammed the scooter into reverse (remember the packed snow?), skidded to a long stop, and then started backing up. I went in reverse for a surprisingly long time before I came across the dropped glove.

I had two different dreams; both of which I remembered a bit of.

In the first one, I was in Douglas AK. USA headed north on the Juneau-Douglas Hwy. in my scooter (no surprise there), but this time, the scooter appeared to have a belt drive mechanism; with the motor itself under the floor pan and the front wheel connected to it via...what else....wait for it....a BELT. Although the belt appeared to be rather loose, the scooter appeared to function properly when the accelerator was squeezed. My now-deceased good friend Primo was running just behind me. I had thought that the scooter batteries were a bit low, but everything appeared to still be going smoothly as I woke up.

And in the second one, I was just stepping out the front door of my childhood home at 3311 Nowell Ave. in Juneau AK. USA; I was apparently headed to the curb to take some photographs of the beam terminus spot of one of my Wicked Lasers Arctic 1W Blue Diode Laser against the front door of the house -- which was colored white in this dream. I took note that I was barefoot, and parts of the ground that I stepped on which were paved felt warm. Weather conditions were mostly sunny with a temperature of approximately 73°F (22.8°C).
Two children on bicycles rode down Cordova St. to my left; I continued walking across the lawn and toward the street. While I was at the curb removing the laser and camera from my bag, a child of approx. 11 years of age and riding a bicycle (possibly one of the ones I had just seen but perhaps not) stopped and asked why my baseball hat (which was on the ground at the moment) was inside-out. I looked at the hat, and noticed two (what I believe were) small taped-up battery packs on it. Just as I was beginning to answer the boy's query, my alarm clock discharged, snuffing out this dream.

In the part of this dream that I remembered, I was in a fairly large room attempting to fly my FlyTech™ Bladestar; a remote-controlled helicopter-like vehicle. There were a number of other people around, but I did not recognise any of them. And I was having some difficulty in getting the Bladestar to function properly; it kept crashing even when set to its semi-automonous mode (it should not have crashed in the manner it was crashing to be more specific). I remember even hand-launching it at one point, but was not successful there either.
